Pencelli Residential 2022

The children (and staff) have arrived safely and have settled really well. They have all walked up a local mountain in the rain and did some orienteering in the evening. Tomorrow (Tuesday) they shall be caving!

The children are on their way to the caves this morning.  They can see Pen y Fan from the minibus.

The children have had a superb day in Porth Y Ogof in the Breacon Beacons National Park. Please see some caving photos in the gallery below.

What an eventful day. The children went canoeing on the Brecon Monmouthshire Canal, they learnt new skills and travelled through the 343 metres of the Ashfiord Tunnel followed by problem solving in the evening.

The picture of the children on the rope is the Dingle Descent at which the children all excelled.

Not homesick at all so far!

Up early tomorrow for the beach and climbing at Three Cliffs Bay at the Gower.

What an amazing day at Three Cliffs Bay!  All the children climbed and abseiled at the beach.  We also played tug of war in the evening and finished with a camp fire and prizes.  Such a superb bunch of children who have loved every minute of the week and have shown the five key values on a daily basis.  We are all so proud of them.

All ready for the final hoorah at the Gorge for lots of splashing in waterfalls tomorrow.  We should be back between 4.15 and 4.30pm.
