 January 2019

The school were lucky enough to be visited by Rocktopus, together with the pupils, they wrote a song about the School's key values.

Also during January 2019 the choir enjoyed a fantastic trip to the Young Voices event at Birmingham Genting Arena. Schools from across the Country joined together to learn new songs and dance routines in a fully immersive musical experience. The group spent the day rehearsing then in the evening performing what they'd learnt in a concert featuring artists such as Tony Hadley, Sharlene Hector and Beau Dermott! The children (and Teachers!) had a fantastic day and can't wait to do it again!

Our image gallery will also show a list of some of the exciting events and activities happening at school.

This term we were delighted to hear that we had won a song writing competition organised by Never Such Innocence, a charity set up to involve school children in the 1914-18 Centenary. The song was written as part of the ‘Together Project’ in which school children from Britain and Germany were asked to song write to remember lives lost during both World War 1 and 2 and to promote hope and unity for the future. In November eight Year 6 children collected their prize and performed at a ceremony at the British Embassy in Berlin.
