Bellefield CofE Primary & Nursery School

Nursery

Our fantastic nursery offers the perfect environment to make children’s first experiences of school happy, safe and above all, fun!

We are an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years team led by the class teacher, Miss Lillywhite.

We are very proud of our environment and are very lucky to have such a wonderful building as well as an amazing outdoor area. We have developed our wild garden which now includes a natural and environmentally friendly wild area as well as a willow dome and a digging area. There are also lots of opportunities for the children to run, climb, balance and jump!

Our Wild Area

Our Wild Area is always changing and gives the children the opportunity to explore and experience nature throughout the seasons.

Provision includes 15 hour and 30 hour (subject to availability and verification of the 30 hours code) places plus additional self-funded hours for children from the term following their third birthday. Please see below for information about entitlements.

Information booklets are available for parents / carers:

The perfect Early Years environment

The Nursery children follow ‘The Early Years Foundation Stage’ curriculum in order to prepare them for their Reception year. By the time you are applying for a school place, your child will already be well-used to the school environment and daily routines. We know from talking to parents that this makes starting school a much simpler process.

Our Sessions & Fees

Free entitlement is available for both sessions stated below term time only which is funded by Wiltshire Council through a termly headcount. Wiltshire Council's funding information can be found on their website. Families may be eligible for 30 hours of free entitlement, more information on this can be found below. Nursery is open term time only and mirrors the school calendar. Funded sessions are available for both sessions and can be accessed in a continuous block including lunchtimes. The free sessions are also not dependant on attending additional non-funded sessions and your child can therefore attend completely free of charge if utilising free entitlement hours only. If you wish to move your child to a new provider mid-way through a funding period please contact admin@bellefield.equamead.org to discuss as this can only be actioned under certain circumstances set out by Wiltshire Council e.g. moving outside of the area. If additional sessions are purchased these will be invoiced and are due for payment in advance of the term. Payment can be made through Arbor or tax free childcare (more information below) and will be detailed on your invoice. If invoices remain unpaid your child may be denied access to the Nursery for these additional sessions. No deposits are required to add your child to the waiting lists or to register your interest.

Home /Nursery relationship

As with the school, our success is built on the relationships that are made between adults and children and between home and school. Developing positive partnerships with you as parents builds trust and is critical to ensuring that your child grows in confidence and self-esteem ready to start school.

As part of this relationship building we have created a ‘parent-friendly’ environment where home and nursery activities are logged and regularly shared in an individual ‘Learning Journey' book.

We use a system called Class Dojo which is also compliant with UK GDPR regulations. You will have secure access (via email and password). Each week, we will post an overview of the week with pictures and information so that you can talk to your child about the activities they have enjoyed at Nursery.
