World Book Week 2020
What a fantastic week! As always it’s been wonderful to see all the children enjoy a range of activities put on by our staff. On Monday, after school, up to 100 children came back to school for ‘Bedtime Stories’ with the staff. All the children were dressed for the occasion and brilliantly behaved. They selected from a range of stories and enjoyed listening to the stories whilst enjoying a Hot Chocolate in their pyjamas with their favourite teddy!
On Wednesday, teachers swapped classes and read their favourite stories. On Thursday, the staff were overwhelmed by ‘Work Book Day’ and all the incredible costumes. Thanks must go to you the parents for making such a big effort with the costumes and you can rest assured, the children had a wonderful day. Tracy Hager who works with Wiltshire Libraries visited in our special ‘World Book Day Assembly’ and entertained the children whilst many received certificates for being the best dressed book characters.
We finished the week with a special 'sharing assembly' where the school came to together to share the new things they had learnt in the week.
