UK-German Bears Project

Beech Class are participating in a joint project with a partner school in Germany to support our language lessons in German. Alex, the German Bear and Ben, the UK Bear get to spend time with a class of children in both countries.

 The bears help us to teach vocabulary, songs and games. Working with our bear, Alex, ties in with the National Language Strategy (England). Being partnered with a German school also provides genuine cultural exchange which is invaluable for developing intercultural understanding. 

 Not only does Alex spend his days at Bellefield, he also gets to have a 'sleepover' with the children when he visits their homes. We love Alex, he makes our language lessons come to life!
