Welcome to Cedar's Class page!
My name is Mr Rees and I am your class teacher for 2025-2026.
The class is made up of 15 Year 5's and 13 Year 6's.
Joining us in Cedar class this year is:
Class Teaching Assistant: Mrs Bouchama
Mrs Sully will be teaching Cedar class on Tuesdays.
Take a look at some of our learning below:
Autumn Term
Reading
Your child will be given a book and a reading record to take home with them. If they wish to read a book from home then please do. Parents can initial the record every time they read with their child and the class teacher or teaching assistant will do so also. Regular reading will result in rewards in school!
PE
Our PE days are Wednesday and Thursday. Please can you send your child in PE kit on these days.
Snack
Please ensure your child has a small piece of fruit or vegetable for snack time. This may be eaten outside so please keep this in mind.
Year 6 - Walking home/Mobile Phones
Please ensure you have completed the online form sent from the office giving your child permission to walk home. If your child is walking home, they can bring in their mobile phones. If they are not in Y6, or not walking home, they do not need to bring in their phones.
Autumn Term
Guided Reading:
This term we will be reading Letters from the Lighthouse by Emma Carroll. This ties in perfectly with our history focus of WWII.
