Collective Worship
At Bellefield, we have daily acts of Anglican collective worship where, as a whole school community, we gather together for a shared experience of reflection, spirituality and to engage in conversations about God.
We recognise our diverse school community and ensure that our worship is inclusive and invitational so that all children and adults, regardless of their religious background, can participate in some way should they choose to do so. We aim for our worship to inspire our children and adults into questioning and thinking differently as well as encouraging them to act in a way that has a positive impact on themselves and others.
Visitors
Our links with both St James' and St Thomas' churches means we are fortunate enough to have representatives from both churches come to lead worship each half term as well as worship that is lead by volunteers from Open The Book.
Leaders
Our year 6 children lead the liturgy and prayer for each worship and have key roles around during the whole school worship.
Other children are invited to join worship during the retelling of Bible stories.
Class Worship
Once a week, worship is performed in class which allows for the exploration of spiritual questions or a deeper understanding of a Bible story on a smaller scale which allows all children have a voice.
Singing
We sing a range of songs during our whole school worship which is greatly enjoyed by most and helps to connect children to the themes that are discussed and can enhance spiritual expression and bring joy to many.
